About the Role
The role of a care worker is to deliver culturally responsive, person-centred support that enables older individuals to live with dignity, independence, and confidence in their own homes. Guided by each client’s individualised support plan and task list, care workers provide essential assistance while honouring personal choice, privacy, and autonomy. Beyond providing practical support, care workers build trusting, professional relationships with clients, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and respected. By embracing diversity and individuality, they foster an environment of compassion, inclusivity, and empowerment, enriching the lives of those they support.You will be an independent care worker and to be successful for this role:
- Must have an ABN number.
- Must be responsible for your tax and superannuation.
- Must have indemnityinsurance.
- Must provide a National Police Check.
- Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability.
- Hold a valid Driver’s License.
- Have a reliable and registered vehicle and comprehensive insurance.
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificates.
- Have current Manual Handling Certificate (will need to obtain while in the screening process).
- Be reliable and available to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Must be willing and able to travel 30-35 min to and from client’s homes.
- Provide proof of covid vaccinations.
- Provide proof of flu vaccination.
